The Japanese traditional edible seaweed since Jōmon period, more than 2,000 years ago

The Ariake Sea having natural fertile tidal flats is known to be the best aquaculture area for growing quality Nori. The large freshwater rivers flowing into the Ariake Sea carry plenty of nutrient-rich water. The convergence of fresh water and saline water creates the perfect conditions of salt concentration to grow the softest and most delicious Nori in Japan.
